Les Schupak has been the chairman of the Editorial Board and Columnist of The Met Golfer, the official magazine of the (NYC) Metropolitan Golf Association for over 25 years. He also serves as the magazine’s book reviewer, including travel books. Les was honored in 2024 by USGA with the Isaac Grainger Award in recognition of his more than 25 years of outstanding volunteer service.

In 2025, he will receive the Metropolitan Golf Writers Association’s Dave Anderson Spotlight Award for exemplary service to the game of golf. He is a Past President of the MGA and is a former Governor of the Arizona Golf Association and columnist for its official members’ periodical. He is a member of the Florida State Golf Association and is a longtime member of the Golf Writers Association of America. He is a two-time winner of the Metropolis Country Club Senior Championship.
