York County, Pa., Course Evokes the Coast of the UK

By Dave Daubert

Brown Golf Management headquartered in Camp Hill, Pa., has been chosen by Talen Energy Corporation to manage Royal Manchester Golf Links located just off the banks of the Susquehanna River tucked in the rolling countryside hills of northern York County.

Envisioned in the tradition of the Old Course at St. Andrews and Royal Lytham & St. Annes Golf Club, this par 72 championship layout transforms you to the coastal area of the British Isles and its famous seaside links. With impeccable bent grass greens, fairways and perfectly level tee boxes, Royal Manchester lives up to its 2017 highly touted second-best course in Pennsylvania and 11th best course in the country by Golf Advisor.

The Tim Freeland design features eighteen pristine holes with picturesque views of the lush landscape of the Mount Wolf area farmland, home to Pennsylvania’s Gov. Tom Wolf. The lovely clubhouse and Rose & Crown Grill are available for weddings and events with excellent friendly service and catering. Instruction is available year round from PGA Professional Jamie Gylan. Royal Manchester is located off Interstate 83 exit 24. More
