Mike MayMike May started on this journey of being a golf writer by attending all four days of the 1983 British Open as a college student and then returning home to write about the experience.  His 22-page report was called “A Pint and a Pork Pie: The ’83 Open.”

Since then, the highlights of his golf-writing career have been taking golf editorial trips to three different sections of England (county of Cornwall, county of Kent, and to the Atlantic Links) plus an editorial excursion in August 2024 to the Scottish Highlands.   As he has continued his career as a golf writer, he has had the unique opportunity to write about true championship golf courses, golf resorts, superintendents, touring golf professionals (PGA Tour and LPGA Tour), caddies, and popular dining destinations for golfers.
