Rory Spears is the man behind Golfers on Golf Radio, the longest-running golf program in Chicago history. In 2025, the show entered its 35th season. It is co-hosted by Len Ziehm, GTWA’s executive director.

Golfers on Golf.com was launched at the 2009 Solheim Cup at Rich Harvest Farms outside of Chicago. It is the only Chicago area-based site posting golf news year round.

Rory is a former writer for Golf Chicago magazine and the Chicago District Golf Association’s magazine, Chicagoland Golf. Rory has written about golf for the former ESPN wire service, Sportsticker and has written about the PGA Tour, the PGA Championship, and the Ryder Cup. In 2025, he enters his 40th year in golf media. Rory has written in numerous PGA of America Championship programs, including the 2020/21 Ryder Cup, the 2018 Centennial Championship, KPMG Championships, and Senior PGA Championships.
