Andy Reistetter left Corporate America in January 2008 to pursue his passions of writing and golf. Since then he has followed the tour and attended more than 100 professional golf events, mainly on the PGA Tour. He wrote his first golf travel piece playing the Daniel Island Club the day following the Nationwide Tour Championship in October 2009.
He considers his home in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., to be the Golf Capital of the World. The PGA Tour headquarters and The Players at TPC Sawgrass are located there. The World Golf Hall of Fame in St. Augustine and Orlando are nearby. Several top junior and collegiate tournaments are staged nearby as well.
Andy likes to go on Golf Journeys and write about his experiences. These have included a 100-day, 14-country, 18,471-mile ‘Journey to Olympic Golf’ from St. Louis where Olympic Golf was last played in 1904 to the new Olympic Golf Course in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, host of Olympic Golf in 2016. His annual ‘East Coast Golf Journey’ in 2014 was a 5-week, 8-state, 4,023-mile life, golf and love affair. He hopes to meet you along the way.
